The Best Exercises To Lose Belly Fat Quickly

Many people are interested in getting their bellies in shape. Usually people start experiencing a bulge in their belly as they approach 30's, but it can happen sooner for some people. Sedentary lifestyle, improper eating habits and lack of exercise are some of the leading factors contributing to this problem. In this article let us discuss a few tips and exercises to lose belly fat in a healthy way.

Squats: This is one of the most popular exercises for people who want to get a flat belly. At the same time, it is also a difficult exercise for many. It is hard to do squats whether you are using dumbbells or not, but you have to force yourself to do this exercise if you are really serious about getting your tummy in shape. Not only is it good for your stomach, it is also great for your legs and thighs.
It is best to use dumbbells while doing squats but do not use too much weight which might cause difficulty in doing the squats in the right manner. You have to maintain proper posture of the back while doing this exercise.

Rope Skipping: This is something which most women used to enjoy doing when they were young girls. It has probably been a long time since you last skipped rope. Now is the time to start doing it again as it is a superb exercise for burning fat. You might find that a lot of people are able to easily walk or run on a treadmill for as much as half an hour but you will hardly find someone who is able to skip rope for more than 5 minutes without stopping in between. This gives you an indication how powerful this exercise can be!

Swimming: This is another excellent and enjoyable exercise. Swimming is a cardio workout which gets your heart pumped up and helps in burning fat from all over the body, including the stomach. It is also helpful in building muscle tissue and increasing your stamina.

Jogging: A study conducted by 'Journal of Applied Physiology' in 2005 revealed that jogging for 20 miles or more per week helped in losing belly fat while jogging for just 10-12 miles a week only helped in preventing accumulation of additional belly fat. So, if you want to shed some belly fat try to jog for at least 20 miles a week.

If you just jog 5 days a week, you have to cover 4 miles per day to make it to 20 miles per week. This might seem a lot to people who are not used to jogging. If you are just beginning out, do not jog for more than a mile or two. Also, to be on the safe side, consult your doctor to confirm whether you can take up jogging or not. If you find jogging to be too strenuous, you can try brisk walking instead.
